Note: The Fish Population Simulation does not work on cell phones.

  1. Set Initial Conditions:
    • Initial Fish Population: Enter the starting number of fish in the provided box.
    • Food Availability (1 to 10): Set the availability of food on a scale of 1 to 10.
    • Number of Predators: Enter the number of predators in the ecosystem.
    • Pollution Level (1 to 10): Set the pollution level on a scale of 1 to 10.
    • Temperature (degrees Celsius): Enter the water temperature in degrees Celsius.
  2. Run the Simulation:

    • Click the “Progress Time” button to advance the simulation and observe changes in the fish population.
  3. Reset the Simulation:

    • Click the “Reset Simulation” button to start over with new initial conditions.
  4. Observe and Analyze:

    • Monitor how changes in food availability, number of predators, pollution level, and temperature affect the fish population.

By following these steps, you can effectively use the fish population simulation to study the impact of different environmental factors on fish populations.
