  • Air as matter: Air is a mixture of gases and has properties such as mass, volume, and pressure.
  • Atmosphere structure: Earth’s atmosphere has layers, and most weather occurs in the troposphere.
  • Altitude patterns: Air pressure decreases as altitude increases, and temperature changes differently in different atmospheric layers.
