Key Vocabulary
Graph: A diagram showing the relation between variable quantities, typically of two variables measured along a pair of axes at right angles.
Independent Variable: The variable that is changed or controlled in a scientific experiment to test the effects on the dependent variable.
Dependent Variable: The variable being tested and measured in a scientific experiment.
Axis: A reference line from which distances or angles are measured in a coordinate system.
Data Point: An individual value or measurement that is plotted in a graph or chart.
Data Set: A collection of related data points.
Scale: The set of values that represent the measurements of the variables on the axes of a graph.
