Experimental Variables Bingo

This bingo game reviews Independent Variables, Dependent Variables, and Constants through short experimental clues. Students analyze each clue and determine which type of variable it describes.

How to Use the Spinner

  1. Open the Spinner

    • Display the spinner on your screen so all students can see it.

  2. Spin the Wheel

    • Click Spin.

    • When the wheel stops, note the number it lands on.

  3. Read the Clue

    • A clue will appear describing part of an experiment.

    • Read the clue aloud or give students a moment to read it silently.

  4. Student Thinking Time

    • Ask students:

      • Is this describing something that is changed on purpose (Independent Variable)?

      • Something that is measured (Dependent Variable)?

      • Or something kept the same (Constant)?

  5. Students Mark Their Bingo Boards

    • Students find the matching number on their Bingo Board.

    • They select the square and label it as IV, DV, or Constant based on the clue.

  6. Optional: Reveal the Answer

    • If desired, turn on “Show answers” to display the correct category.

    • Use this for feedback, discussion, or self-checking.

  7. Keep or Eliminate the Number

    • Click Eliminate to remove the number from future spins.

    • Click Keep if you want the number to remain available.

  8. Repeat

    • Continue spinning until students achieve Bingo or you reach your desired stopping point.
