Category Bingo Game Instructions
Objective:

Be the first player to complete a row, column, or diagonal on your bingo board with the correct color/pattern corresponding to the category of the resources.

Setup:

The clue reader sends each player the link that will provide a unique digital bingo board.

Select here to open the Bingo Board in a new Tab.

Game Play:
  1. Spinning the Wheel: The bingo clue reader spins the wheel to select a number (1-24) and announces the number spun.
  2. Reading the Clue: The clue reader reads the clue corresponding to the number spun. The clue will describe either a renewable or nonrenewable resource.
  3. To keep track of the bingo numbers and clues, select the “Open Bingo Clue Tracker in New Tab” button and follow provided directions.
  4. Selecting the Square:
    • Players locate the announced number on their bingo board.
    • If the clue describes a renewable resource, players will select the square with the announced number and change it to the color/pattern corresponding to renewable resources.
    • If the clue describes a nonrenewable resource, players will select the square with the announced number and change it to the color/pattern corresponding to nonrenewable resources.
  5. Marking the Bingo Board:
    • Continue the steps above for each spin and clue until a player completes a row, column, or diagonal with the correct color/pattern.
Example:
  • If the clue reader spins the number 15 and the clue is “sunlight,” players will select square 15 and change it to the color/pattern for renewable resources.
  • If the clue reader spins the number 10 and the clue is “coal,” players will select square 10 and change it to the color/pattern for nonrenewable resources.
Winning the Game:
  • The first player to complete a row, column, or diagonal with the correct color/pattern corresponding to the resource categories shouts “Bingo!” and is declared the winner.
  • Remember, the center space is a free space that can be changed to either color/pattern to help complete a row, column, or diagonal.

Enjoy the game and good luck!
