Our Mission
Virtual Science Teachers supports teachers as they do the critical work of building a scientifically literate society. We create free, interactive, SOL- and NGSS-aligned science resources that engage students and make it easier for teachers to bring real-world science into their classrooms.
What We Do
Interactive Tools – Simulations, graph makers, and virtual labs that help students practice analyzing data, interpreting graphs, and thinking scientifically.
Classroom Resources – Bell ringers, activities, and lesson supports that fit seamlessly into teaching, with no logins or ads required.
Teacher Support – Professional development, ready-to-use materials, and resources designed to free teachers to focus on what matters most: engaging with their students.
Why It Matters
Science literacy shapes how students make personal decisions, prepares them for STEM careers, and equips them to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Yet too many students are falling behind. Teachers are working harder than ever, and they need support. That’s where we come in.
Our Story
Virtual Science Teachers was founded by Suzanne Sprague, a veteran science educator, who saw firsthand how teachers struggle to find high-quality, accessible, and standards-aligned materials. What started as a vision to give every student access to engaging science experiences has grown into a platform reaching thousands of students every day.
Our Commitment
We believe teachers are the heroes of science education. Our role is to support them with innovative digital resources, practical classroom tools, and partnerships that make science learning engaging, inclusive, and effective for all students.
